Yamazaki Shinji and Yumi, who were the founders of AZZLO, a pioneer fetish boutique that existed in Aoyama and Yotsuya, Tokyo from the late 1980s to the 1990s. Shinji was the photographer and Yumi was the model. They studied fetish culture in New York and London, while also working on their own photography, and held fetish parties at discos in Japan. They finally opened their boutique in 1988. They sold rubber, bizarre wear, high heels, corsets, fetish gear, and even magazines and videos, which they imported directly using their overseas connections.
