"RAW POWER" is a personal documentary project by photographer Tatsuo Suzuki.
Through street photography and portraiture, the work seeks to visualize the fundamental energy of life and humanity.
The project follows Suzuki’s 2024 work "The Sound of Waves," in which water was used as a central motif to reflect on the cycle of life, the fragility and strength of existence, and the process of emotional regeneration after personal loss.
In contrast, "RAW POWER" pushes these questions further, focusing more directly on the raw vitality of human life.
Stripped down to a more primitive form of expression, the work is strongly infused with the spirit of punk rock—an essential part of Suzuki’s cultural roots—capturing moments of unleashed impulse and physical contact.
This zine was produced for Suzuki’s solo exhibition in Koenji, Tokyo, in April 2025.
The series remains ongoing, continuing Suzuki’s exploration of the fundamental forces of human existence.
