This is the German version of the collection of works published in 1992 as the English version "The Other Side", and is an early work in which a new version was recently announced by Steidl. When I lived in Boston when I was a student, I started taking pictures with friends who were seen as outsiders at the time, such as drag queens and transgenders who gathered at the bar "The Other Side". I jumped over the United States and went to Berlin, Bangkok, and the Philippines to shoot. It is a record of "transcendental happiness" from the 70's to the 90's.
