First published by Roshin Books in 2015, Wonderful Days gathers Masahisa Fukase's deeply personal photographs of his cats, Sasuke and Momoe. Made during the final years of the photographer's life, the series transforms everyday moments into quietly theatrical encounters, revealing the humour, affection and companionship that existed between Fukase and his feline subjects. Equal parts portrait, diary and meditation on domestic life, the photographs demonstrate the same emotional sensitivity that defines his best-known work.

Beautifully sequenced by Tomo Kosuga, the volume moves effortlessly between moments of playfulness and contemplation.
