Toronto Power Plant
This exhibition catalog published in conjunction with the 1996 group exhibition 'The American Trip' at The Power Plant in Toronto. Curated by Philip Monk, the show featured works by Larry Clark, Nan Goldin, Cady Noland, and Richard Prince, examining the theme of the American outlaw through depictions of sexuality, drug use, subculture, and pop culture.
Due to legal concerns regarding certain photographs by Larry Clark, the gallery was compelled to retract a spread of his work by gluing pages 20 and 21 together, preventing destruction of the already printed catalog run. Subsequently, the catalog was reprinted with the spread entirely removed.
This copy, however, remains unglued, showcasing the retracted Clark spread in its original form.
