This book contains the new works presented at the solo exhibition of Kaoru Mitsumune.

Self-taught in the art of using ballpoint pen, Mitsumune has in recent years begun to utilise a variety of art materials, including pencil, oil, acrylic, and watercolor, to express a unique worldview. For her 2022 solo exhibition, she will present a new series that imaginatively interprets and reconstructs cicadas, a creature she has cherished since childhood.
